Like an angry bunch of toddlers, the far right of the Republican caucus will probably decide soon that governing is for dummies and doing nothing and seeing what happens is the preferred method for running the country. Under the rules negotiated by Kevin McCarthy to gain support for his Speakership, individual members can offer amendments to spending bills and also call for a vote to "vacate the chair". Instead of making the machinery of government more transparent, these amendments are likely to increase dysfunction by making every congressman a decider on whether the House functions or not.
